Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationMy heart was shattered when I had to say goodbye to my 11-day old son Logan due to cerebral hypoxia. In his days here with us, my sisters, husband and I read picture books to him, and we were amazed that even in pit of despair they managed to make us smile and laugh. From the age of 14 I wanted to be an author, but I was told in school that my grades weren't good enough. Instead, I ventured down another path, gaining diverse qualifications across the community care sector. I went on to run multiple outside school hours care (OOSH) services, and eventually moved into quality and compliance, though it was never my dream. Before Logan passed away, I promised him I would pursue my dream to become an author, to honour his memory. In the thick of grief, writing became my salvation. From doodling on the walls as a toddler to studying at Sydney Art School and JMC Academy, art has always been my passion-and my way of processing the world. Drawing is how I make sense of life, express emotion, and connect with others. Working alongside my sisters to create meaningful picture books is more than a creative dream-it's a healing journey. Through every brushstroke and sketch, I'm honouring our shared story and my nephew Logan. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow as an artist to inspire joy, comfort, courage and learning to children through visual storytelling.
