Working with the AMWAY Corporation, Mr. Mulcahy participated as a project manager for the design, build, install and start-up for order pick operations in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, China, UK, Italy & Germany. These include 'pick to light' concepts with wire guided VNA storage vehicles & tall racks. He was also involved with re-model for Spain, Netherlands, Mexico, Canada and European Central Warehouses. As a QVC project manager was involved with the remodel of QVC's Germany operation to increase storage capacity, improve picker, sort & packer productivity (UPH) to lower operational expenses (CPU) and in QVC's Japan operation to optimize off-site storage activity, improve space utilization, lower CPU and improve picker, sort & packer productivity (UPH). In the QVC Japan operation, the efforts helped QVC Japan to achieve a positive cash flow within 3 years of startup. For both QVC Germany and Japan operations, he was a key associate in completing site selection and overall warehouse design with a Carton and Pallet AS/RS, GOH trolley-less, tilt tray sorter, pick to light, customer returns concepts, conveyor network and WMS program written functional specifications. For Peter J Schmitt, Buffalo, NY, Mr. Mulcahy consolidated two warehouse operations into one facility, improved the facility maintenance and sanitation rating to the top in the region and improved space utilization. For A & P Tea Co., Dallas, TX Mr. Mulcahy consolidated a small item warehouse into the main warehouse, improved productivity and delivery truck utilization. Improvements resulted in raising the division's operational ranking from number 26th to 6th nationally. Most recently provided his services for the non-profit community. He received his MBA from the University Of Dallas, Texas.
