Overview

An illustrated guide to the most wondrous - and downright spooky - homes of the dead. Here, we journey through the mythological afterlives of ancient civilizations and explore spiritual celebrations throughout the ages-all with a healthy splash of joie de vivre and not a hint of gloom. Wander through labyrinths of bone and stone, dive into sunken cemeteries and uncover the sacred sites of long-lost legends. Along the way, join in heartfelt traditions from around the globe that joyfully reunite the living with the lost. From Mexico's vibrant Day of the Dead to the Pirate Cemetery of Saint-Pierre and the shadowy depths of Hades, embark on a thrilling adventure through folklore, mythology and cultural practices that reveal the beauty and mystery of the afterlife. This tour is designed for brave spirits aged 7 and up-but anyone with a curious heart is welcome on this eerily entertaining, otherworldly journey.
