Overview

"""Where Islam and Judaism Join Together undertakes a noble task: searching for the commonalities between Judaism and Islam--which are many--to provide a bridge between the two religions which have been seen by many as implacable enemies. The book succeeds admirably, without closing its eyes to the significant differences and the many mutually inflicted wounds. It cauterizes where necessary, but more importantly, applies the balm of compassion and sensitive dialogue, leading to a more humane future, indeed, in the vision of the two traditions, a future true to the common Father Abraham."" - Leonard Swidler, Professor of Interreligious Dialogue and President of the Dialogue Institute, Temple University, USA.""Through this book, Rabbi Dr. Shai Har-El has created a bridge across the great divide between the Abrahamic faiths. It is a bold, passionate and, considering the times we live in, heroic endeavor."" - Ambassador Akbar Ahmed, Ibn Khaldun Chair of Islamic Studies at American University and the former Pakistani Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland."
