Author Information

LESLÉA NEWMAN has has created more than 90 books for readers of all ages. She has received two National Jewish Book Awards, two American Library Association Stonewall Honors, and the Sydney Taylor Body-of-Work Award. From 2008 - 2010, she served as the poet laureate of Northampton, MA. She lives in Northampton, MA. VALERI GORBACHEV has illustrated more than forty books for children, including his own Big Little Elephant and Skunk's Spring Surprise by Lesléa Newman. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
