Anita Rieschi is a retired elementary school teacher, with almost forty years of experience. A mother and grandmother, she was inspired to write Where are the Elephant Shoes for her granddaughter, for whom the words 'elephant shoes' and 'olive juice' hold special meaning. You see, when one says either of those pairings, the mouth makes the same shapes as it does to say 'I love you'. Rieschi lives in Guelph, Ontario.
