OverviewWhen You Go Home is an anthology of military poetry from the Crimean Wars through to modern day. Much of the early poetry was written by members of the armed forces who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The later works in the book is poetry written by modern military poets, many of whom have also served their country. The book concludes with poetry that has been developed using modern technology. From Tennyson to Owen, and Brooke to George Orwell, along with modern day poets. We have added a mix of poetry through time, along with a small amount of history to demonstrate how military poetry has changed through time. Along with fitting tributes to the men and women who serve their country. All net profits from this book will be donated to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
