Author Information

Eric Deadwyler was formerly Director of Education and Science at Florida's Gulfarium. He has given scientific and technical lectures in marine science and related fields, as well as philosophy of education, to all age groups, including university-level in-service teacher staff development. He has owned and/or maintained several dozen aquariums, from tiny fish bowls to 10,000+ gallons, and kept over 300 species of aquatic and marine flora and fauna. He currently writes music with his wife, Doris, and builds musical instruments. Together they are founders of Appalachian Restoration Ministries, a non-profit whose primary mission is to provide home repairs for the financially disadvantaged in Glenville, NC and neighboring communities on the Mountain Plateau.
