Author Information

The Authors: Ann Gordon is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Ohio University. She received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Southern California. In addition to numerous publications in the area of political communication, she is co-editor of Anticipating Madam President, author of Playing Politics: An Active Learning Approach to American National Government, the recipient of the Goldsmith Research Award at Harvard University, and was honored by the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics at Iowa State University. Jerry L. Miller is Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Ohio University. In addition to numerous publications in the areas of political communication and argumentation, he has been honored for teaching by the Speech Communication Association of Ohio, the Ohio Forensics Association, and the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics at Iowa State University.
