She is proud to be the co-parent of two girls and a boy and five grandchildren. Her mother, three brothers and two sisters continue to lovingly support her every endeavor. She is deeply humbled by the fact that her family and others believe in her abilities and encourage her efforts. She was born and raised in South East Washington, D.C., where she attended public schools She went to undergrad in Oberlin, Ohio and studied dance in New York City. She is employed by the law firm Crowell & Moring. She has remained an extremely active member of East Washington Heights Baptist Church for 39 years. The committees, boards, choirs, etc. are too numerous to list here. Among other things, she serves as an Associate Minister. It is more important to her that others appreciate the love she has for doing the work of the Lord. She graduated from Howard University School of Divinity in May of 2010. Now and during her days at Howard she marvels over the fact that each day leads to the discovery of some new amazing aspect to life, As her life is guided and directed by Jesus, she is encouraged to share her journeys with others. She has a sincere thirst for knowledge, and a hunger to find a meaningful place in ministry. She has a burning desire and ardent determination to assist others in finding the peace that only a relationship with God can offer. She has room and motivation to remain humble while maturing in knowledge, faith and creativity. She hopes her life lends credence to the words: if I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living will not be in vain.
