'When I Wake Up' is a heart-warming ghost story. For Nancy, a thirty-year-old woman who is completely disenchanted with the world, Christmas Eve turns into a night that could save her life. In a sad and lonely attempt to silence her busy mind, she decides to take her life, then wakes to find her friend Lena, mysteriously wounded in her apartment. Nancy and Lena then embark on a night of adventure and between them, navigate Nancy's messy universe; dealing with her relationship dramas, her overwhelming sense of fear and the reconciliation of their friendship, in the hope that they will both 'wake up.' However, all is not as it seems and Nancy will need to find the courage to save Lena.
