Although everyone eats, few people know what dietitians do. As the food and nutrition experts, dietitians help individuals and communities eat better, be healthy, and thrive. Dietitians work in a wide variety of settings-from hospitals and schools to sports teams, research labs, and even the military. This vibrant, illustrated nonfiction book introduces children ages 5 to 12 to the exciting and often overlooked career of dietetics. Ten diverse children-representing different races, ethnicities, genders, and disabilities-imagine becoming dietitians in unique settings across the country.
