Long-time enemies Samantha Hugo, head of the Environmental Planning Commission, and Jack Sawyer, a builder-developer, at last find ways to set aside their bitter arguments and work to find common ground, both professionally and personally, now that their mutual parentage of their long-lost son is revealed. By healing their own rift, they help the community's sense of balance and connection get healed.
