When He Speaks

Overview

A Book of Poetry and Art One of man's preoccupations is to wonder about his existence and offer theories about its origin, hoping to understand his place in the universe. So where do we, where does energy, matter, time, and ultimately life as we know it, come from? It makes abundant sense that there could have been nothing at all. Yet the vast creation that stretches in all directions belies that. Given our universe's expansion, man's best minds assure us that everything grew from a single tiny point a very, very long time ago. But what existed in the very beginning? Who was the Author of all we see before us, before we ever were? The fact that there is a universe points to the presence of God - the Spirit Force responsible for existence through His Divine Will and Word, whose Essence begat creation. In our material world that replicates the Spirit one, on a smaller scale, all that is created owes its existence to Someone: Structures are built by men or animals. Drawings, pottery, art, tools, language, literature, clothes, machines and artifacts -- all the trappings of civilization owe their conception to some source. After this fashion, the Creator, the Source of our universe, is God. The poetry included in this compilation is an attempt to show God's methods in making. It documents His Love for mankind, gives thanks for the blessings and the circumstances of creation and the sacrifice extended to man for grace. He who was and is All gave us a portion of His Being, and as such, we are His.
