Overview

National Board Certification is a voluntary process for teachers who want to measure their teaching practice against the set of core propositions and teaching standards developed by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Teachers describe, analyze, and reflect on their practice by providing evidence of their accomplished teaching through student work samples and videos. They also take a series of assessment exercises designed to measure their depth of knowledge about the subjects they teach.
