Professor Emeritus Stanley Garfunkel holds a doctorate in Business (Marketing) from the City University of New York. Prior to retirement, he spent more than 43 years at Queensborough College (CUNY), and held numerous positions at the College, including Chairperson of the Business Department (1990-1993), Vice-Chair of the Academic Senate, and a member of the Faculty Executive Committee. Having taught all of the courses in the Marketing curriculum, he concentrated on Marketing, Marketing Research, and Business Organization and Management. In addition to his tenure in academia, Professor Garfunkel has authored text materials for Random House Publishers, published many articles and made presentations at American Marketing Association Educators' Conferences. Recognized for his expertise, Dr. Garfunkel has served as an expert witness in marketing related cases. Additionally, over the past forty years he has completed numerous real-world marketing research consulting assignments for a wide range of major corporations. Leonard Alan Slutsky entered the finance and insurance industry in 1973 as a representative of the New York Life Insurance Company. While at New York Life he achieved many industry and company awards in addition to earning the designation of Charter life Underwriter (CLU). Following this he entered the banking industry culminating in his elevation to Chairman of the Board of The People's National Bank. After retirement from banking he became a consultant for numerous business trade associations. Today, he is the president of American Money Services, Inc. and its network of companies comprising over four thousand employees. The company conducts market research for private and public clients in selected markets. Mr. Slutsky has received numerous service awards for his business and charitable endeavors. He and his family are major supporters of the Holocaust Exhibit at Suffolk County Community College in New York.
