What The World Offers

Overview

These poems query the appearance of the world, seeking the miraculous in the mundane, humble beauty in the rustle of birds, truth from history and from fairy tales. In doing so, the author hopes to find solace in the wake of grief. Above all, the poet asks himself and the reader to pay close attention to the details offered by the world, which opens the possibility of joy and wonder within our day-to-day routines. These poems attempt to demonstrate that loss can be assuaged, if not fully repaired, by focusing on the beauty to be found in the quirks and commonplaces of daily life.

Reviews

Daniel's poetry is never one thing-now intellectual but then visceral, esoteric but immediate, formal but deviant, allusive but right here in hand-but always solid, each poem its own thing. -Jeremy Eric Tenenbaum Founding Editor, SORTES With a style reminiscent of classic literary greats such as Christina Rossetti, Daniel A. Rabuzzi's work is always a delight to read-carefully poised, creatively playful, and artfully thoughtful, his words effortlessly transport readers to realms of fairy tale and fable. -Clarabelle Miray Fields Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Carmina Magazine Rabuzzi's poetry is visceral, poignant, and best of all real. -Matthew Kressel Nebula-Award nominated author of The Rainseekers
