Overview

Between 2018 and 2021 I said goodbye to three cats I loved dearly. Two of them required extensive care as they suffered through cancer and I committed myself to do everything I could to honor the time we had left together. Questions arose along that path that tormented me. When is it the right time to euthanize? Is euthanasia even the right thing to do? How should I expect the last days of their lives to unfold? How do I properly honor the time we have left? Why am I so overwhelmed when others seem as though they are not? Did I provide my cats everything they needed to live their life to its potential? What are they here for? What am I here for? What The Cat Dragged out is the honesty, raw journey through the depths of my own despair to find the answers to those questions and how caring for my cats transformed my life. My sincerest hope for the reader is to see their pet's passing in such a way that they did not live and die for nothing.
