Author Information

Augustus Nicodemus Lopes is a pastor in the Presbyterian Church of Brazil (IPB). A writer and professor, he received a Bachelor of Theology degree from the Seminário Presbiteriano do Norte (Northern Presbyterian Seminary) in Recife. He holds a master's degree in New Testament Studies from the Christian University of Potchefstroom, South Africa, and a doctorate in Biblical Interpretation from Westminster Theological Seminary (USA) and has done additional studies at the Reformed Seminary in Kampen, in the Netherlands. He is married to Minka Schalkwijk and has four children: Hendrika, Samuel, David and Anna.
