Overview

DeVon Edwin Bell was a young black man who, at a young age, experienced trauma sexually and mentally. Every day was a constant struggle. Due to his environment, he faced many obstacles, and some could've led him to jail or even death. Daily, he faced ridicule from the Mother of his children, who put him down every chance she got. Yvonne often used his children as a weapon. Faced with the fact that he couldn't spend time with his children when he wanted, he usually thought about taking them from their Mother once he made it big. His dream of wanting to be a screenwriter helped change his life as he tried to shop his movie scripts to film producers but also tried to juggle his personal life. There's a significant shift in his life when he meets a female screenwriter named Amelia. Suddenly, his involvement with Amelia raises the eyebrows of his Momma and himself. Trust soon flies out of the window. Will DeVon go back into the streets when his dreams fail and be another statistic, or will he follow his dreams and be another success story of a black man?
