There were 32,882 veterans who experienced homelessness in 2024. (VA Point in Time Count) There is work to be done to remedy the situation for all persons who are suffering in homelessness.

Elizabeth A. Terrell was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, the second daughter of 4 children. She attended public schools and later graduated from the University of Memphis with a B.S. in Special Education. She also received a M. Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary. her professional career has been Special Education, mental Health, and Ministry in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church as an ordained minister. She currently resides in a 100+year old home in one of the historic districts of Memphis with her 3 dogs and a numerous cats. She has no living children. When she is not writing or tending to her pets, she is helping others, doing house and yard projects, gardening, refinishing furniture, doing art projects, cooking, sewing, preaching and writing sermons.
