What Does the Sabbath (Shabbat) Mean to Us Today?

Overview

Growing up a follower of Jesus Christ from a very young age, I wanted to know if I should observe the Sabbath on Saturday like some Christians and Jews do. I received a variety of generalized pastoral answers, yet was not satisfied. So I decided to dig into the Bible for myself. This book documents what the Holy Spirit has shown me. I learned that the Sabbath is an eternal gift from God to mankind. It exists throughout the ages, extends into eternity, and is not limited to a single nation. Yet its blessings are reserved by God for a specific people, a holy people who receive God's holiness by faith. Entering God's rest happens by placing our faith in God's word. Jesus brought Sabbath's final form into existence by establishing the new covenant. This allows His people to enter into His Sabbath of Rest by faith alone. Clint grew up in Connecticut in a family of 7 with 4 other siblings. He attended a Spirit filled church since childhood and felt a calling to teach the Word of God at 13 years old. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering in 1980. Clint taught Sunday School for over 30 years including teen and adult classes. He was the Christian Education Director of several local churches. He helped several State Overseers with Christian Education training at the local churches in Southern New England and Colorado for many years. He met and married Christine, the love of his life at age 35. In later years Clint and Christine taught small cell groups in a home environment for over 20 years.
