Kelly Shuto is the author of the ""What Does It Mean to Be..."" series. She is passionate about helping children to understand their self worth, their talents and abilities and the importance of their contributions to our world.Kelly is a kindergarten teacher on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada, and is a mom to two adventurous boys. She loves to explore local forests with her students and has found a deep love of nature through noticing the tiniest of details, and nurturing a sense of wonder about the world with her students and family. Lauren MacLean is the author of ""Me and My Sit Spot,"" ""Finding Common Ground,"" ""Risky Play Gone Away,"" and ""Sitting With Nature: An Educator's Guide to Sit Spots."" She is the host of the Teach Outdoors podcast where she explores different aspects of exploring in nature with her learners.
