Overview

As a first time author, I have written this novelette to share my story of trauma. It delves into the true accounts of trauma that I have faced from early childhood, all the way through to adulthood. It takes a deep dive into abuse I have suffered and moments out of my control when my body turned against me. I describe in depth, my mental health troubles and the conditions that have developed over the years. I have held in my trauma my whole life and let it consume me. I have decided it is time I find the strength to face my traumas and talk about them. Hopefully, this can encourage others to share their story too and take back control of our mental health. It is a steep hill to climb but with baby steps, I hope we can all do it. Trigger warnings are in place in this description, on the rear of the book (paper or hardback) and within the book itself. There are also details of organisations that can offer support if you are affected by anything you read. The trigger warnings are: child abuse, parental abandonment, domestic abuse, sexual abuse/assault and miscarriage. Reader discretion is advised.
