OverviewSchool memories are precious so why not put them into a book, a keepsake to look at in years to come? Book Week at West Thornton Academy is always a special time with visits from authors, book signings, lots of reading projects, workshops and, of course, a chance to buy books. This book is the result of one of the workshops. To begin with the children learnt about the history of book production over the years right up to digital printing today and then they set about self-publishing their own book. Having each written about their memories of their time at WTPA, a house style was adopted and the children learnt about editing and proofreading and the difference between the two before having a go at editing and proofreading each other's work. The book was then formatted on Amazon's Createspace and published.
