Explaining what the child will probably go thru, step by step, like what my children went thru, made it a little easier for them. Usually the courtroom is cleared for the family to enjoy the process. Our children got to explore the courtroom a little before the adoption took place. The judge made it easy for them and made it a big deal about the adoption. So, this book is looking thru the eyes of them. It is how they seen the court. We adopted them, because of the horrible abuse they went thru by the hands of their biological mom and her boyfriend. They came to live with us, when he was 18 months old there about, after he got out of the children's hospital, and she came to live with us when she was 5 months old. They do not see their biological mother at the time of this book.
