Wensdy Whitehead (June 24, 1971- May 7, 2023) was a folder since age 4. She was a Cornell University graduate. She was raised in Michigan and lived in the Boston area most of her adult life. She was a veteran and entrepreneur with a specialty in origami and computer programming. She had a fun sense of humor filled with folded puns. Wensdy was a smart, intellectual, and caring person. Toast to Wensdy's life with her favorite drink, a Dunkin' Vanilla Bean Coolatta! Born and raised in the Boston area, Lisa B. Corfman is an artist, teacher, and a spiritual individual who works with origami (paperfolding art) serving as the connection between multiple mediums. In 2004, Lisa graduated with a BFA from Endicott College in Beverly, MA. In May 2014 she attained her Advanced Certificate in Marketing in NY.Then, Lisa's art then began to take flight as she built OrigamiPlace.com. At Origami Place, Lisa makes, sells, teaches, and showcases origami arts embracing paper's wonders. Lisa strives to bring the excitement of origami to all, and for everyone to find ways to grow, achieve and enjoy origami goods and services. Lisa encourages all to discover paperfolding with materials galore. Lisa formed a virtual origami museum visible at OrigamiMuseum.org for everyone in the community. The museum is for the public, from origami novices to professionals, sharing the joy of paperfolding. Together, we fold. She created a forum for Jewish Hope at JewishHope.org to build unity with a positive energy through creative action. Whether Lisa is creating, teaching, or entertaining with her origami art form with hope, Lisa thrives in kindling creativity.
