Overview
Tara Lambert is sixteen and her life is a mess. Arguments over her wild behavior have driven her wealthy workaholic parents to divorce. Running a lucrative real estate business, they no longer have time for weekend sailing with Tara, her favorite activity. She rebels by turning to drugs and alcohol. At a private airfield in the Florida Everglades, Tara passes out, then recovers in time to see her parents' Learjet take off. She watches in horror as both engines quit and the plane crashes and burns in the swamp. Tara faints and her bizarre Oz -like nightmare begins when she wakes in the Land's End Reform School for Wayward Girls on an isolated Florida beach. Encountering oddly-familiar characters and horrifying leech-like creatures, Tara realizes she must be dreaming. She believes that if she can just wake up, she can somehow prevent the plane crash that killed her parents. A mysterious ghost-like apparition from Tara's past may hold the key to saving her parents and family. But only if she wakes in time...

Charles Haigh is a retired U.S. Air Force pilot with three combat tours in Vietnam. He has a BA degree in cinema and screenwriting from Columbia College in Hollywood and was co-writer and an actor in European Night , a feature film shot in Poland. Other writing: The Dodger Fan & The Wolf Man , a novel published on CreateSpace and also a screenplay. King of the Bees , a published TV miniseries screenplay, available on Amazon and eBay. Hide 'n Seeker , a horror/thriller script with a serious subject: child abuse. Charlie Catches A Bee , a childrens' read-aloud book, available on CreateSpace and Amazon, and in need of a fine illustrator to turn this story into a picture book! Charles is a SAG/AFTRA actor with IMDb credits. Other education: a BS in biology and a California teaching credential in English. He taught high school English and ESL for twelve years. He lives in Sunny Southern California with his lovely Chinese wife. When not writing, Charles plays golf and tennis, takes long fitness walks and bike rides along the beach, rides his Vespa scooter and spends fun times with his wife and amazing grandchildren at the Disneyland resort.
