Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationBorn in 1948, I've lived and raised a crazy melting pot family of children. Mother to 13 children some adopted and five biological. My door was always open and now with many grandchildren. I am still a happily busy woman. Children young and grown have always been my life breath and What a journey it has been so far. Years pass, and many hills and valleys are crossed; imagination and dreams continue to grow and go on. Like the children we were, and the child within us as well as the young children we love now, I wish to continue seeing the world through the eyes of the child that lives deep inside all of us. And continue to share it with my stories. It was in High School when I found my passion to be an author. I had always focused on being an artist, but I knew I loved writing too or telling stories especially to my younger sisters. Then one day I decided to began writing some of them down. I am the type that can fall asleep and dream a story and get up and quickly write out the outline as to not forget it so I could write it later. And then again their was school writing assignments and it was because of one particular class that I truly realized the depth of my passion for writing. It was in Speech class and a written assignment that I was asked to read to the class. The story was called 'Beneath the Weeping Willow' and it was about an old woman with a split personality and a mystery of two missing teenagers. I got my first taste of the hook I could put on an older crowd with a story that day. I could see my classmates stretching with eyes opened wide almost tipping over their desks to get ever closer to each word I read out loud from the paper in front of me. This paper that held my own written words. At that point I could see this was what I wanted to do with my life. Or at least one of the things I wanted to do of course because back then many passions were running through a teenagers head. I was going to be so many things you couldn't count them. I didn't know the joys of being a mother would place so much on a back burner for so many years as my writings kept filling my metal file cabinet to the brim. But with still so many children in my life, my focus right now is on publishing the children's stories for my grandchildren for they are our todays, tomorrows and yesterdays.
