English Summary: Friedrich Holderlin founded his poetic of the change of tones on musical rules and he found his metaphors in music, from the hymn at the goddess of harmony to Hyperion's resolution of the dissonances, from the pure melodies and string playing to the blind singer, from songs at night to the patriotic songs . The extraordinary fascination that his work exerted in the 20th century on composers of different geographical origins and aesthetic orientations led to a flood of musical settings for his poems, dramatizations of his texts, instrumental works and many other forms of musical creativity. On this basis, the present volume- the result of a multi-year exchange among germanists, musicologists and philosophers- tries on the one hand to determine the musical basics of Holderlins work, on the other hand to determine the productive dialogue of the composers with the poet, thereby practicing forms of interdisciplinary dialogue. German Description: Das Werk Friedrich Holderlins beruht auf musikalischen Gesetzen; seine Poetik nennt er einen Wechsel der Tone , seine Gedichte Gesange ; Hyperion strebt nach der Auflosung der Dissonanzen . Seine Dichtung wurde im 20. Jahrhundert fur Komponisten zu einem zentralen Bezugspunkt und stellte fur sie eine Zasur und das Symbol eines uberindividuellen Tendenzwechsels dar. Vernachlassigt wurden bis heute die poetologischen Grunde, die zu einer solchen Flut von Vertonungen fuhrten; selten hat man sich gefragt, warum Holderlins Dichtung solche Anziehungskraft auf Komponisten ausubt(e). Unter diesen Voraussetzungen werden im Band die musikalischen Elemente in Holderlins Dichtung und die musikalische 'Ubersetzung' seiner Dichtung bei den Komponisten untersucht. Der Band ist das Ergebnis der Tagung Wechsel der Tone , die 2017 an der Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venedig stattfand und eine enge Zusammenarbeit von Germanistik und Musikwissenschaft abbildet.
