Overview

Many libraries have discovered the advantages of having a presence on the internet and have successfully addressed their objectives by integrating their website as part of their daily functioning. Sangeeta Dhamdhere (Ph.D.) is a senior library professional from India with more than 17 years of experience in library and information science. In her current role as the Chief Librarian of Modern College in Pune (India), she constantly strives to find and optimize newer ways of segregating and delivering information to the users. She completed her Masters in Library and Information Science from University of Pune and has cleared both, the National and State Level Eligibility Tests for Lecturer-ship in library and information science. She has completed her PhD form Nagpur University and also picked up a couple of diplomas in computing. She has received awards at both national and international level. She has published and presented more than fifty research papers at conferences, seminars, and reputed peer reviewed journals at national and international level. She has three books published by publishers based abroad. She is an Editorial Board member and reviewer of about 15 reputed peer reviewed international journals in library science and computer science. Ramdas Lihitkar (Ph.D.) is presently working as Librarian in Government Institute of Science, Nagpur. He has been in LIS Profession Since 2001 and is a recipient of a gold medal from Barkatullah University, Bhopal. He has experience of teaching and guiding for UGC NET/SET, P.O. and other competitive examinations. He has published several papers in seminars, conferences, and journals at national and international level and has more than eighty five papers to his credit. He has presented papers at international Conferences in Malaysia and Thailand. He has organized three workshops, one international conference and he has also edited five national conference proceedings and compiled various course materials for the benefit of LIS professionals as well as for the students. He is a subject expert member and Government nominee of RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur and joined the office of the Director, Higher Education Nagpur. He is a recognized research supervisor in LIS of RTM, Nagpur University, Nagpur and under his supervision five students have submitted and one has been awarded Ph. D . He is a life member of professional associations viz. DLA, ILA, IASLIC, DLISAA, SALIS, CGLA, and VLA.
