This sentence opens my book's Foreword and includes a fine description of this writing project and a little bit about me, written in relation to this book. Me, a former neer-do-well outlaw biker and present Christian over-comer. It goes like this. This book's author has spent a good portion of his life building and operating a dental and a prosthetics lab for a hospital ships ministry, called Mercy Ships. Paul Moehring has been in the trenches of real missionary work, designing and fabricating facial and lower limb prostheses. He has enjoyed seeing lives literally changed, serving the Lord and loving people.... and Satan has fought against him the entire journey. With this volume (two books in one), Paul gives insights into spiritual warfare, using his own experiences from demonic oppression, and unusually, complete victory over it. Paul shares his proven weapons of warfare that can be used to identify, expose and repel demons that have been assigned by Satan to oppress your spirit and thwart God's plan for your life. Each chapter carries the tone of a personal conversation in which Paul candidly shares his particular life story. He then closes each chapter with a clear and concise overview with thoughts to take away from what you've read. It's a worthwhile read. The Apostle Paul said in Philippians 1:17, I am set for the defense of the Gospel. He knew he was placed on this earth to proclaim, promote and defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We all are! We are made to worship and exalt God, to glorify His Son; to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit! We are made to serve in and build up the kingdom of God. Paul Moehring and I share the knowledge that this is the warfare. That when we chose to accept Christ and serve Him on this earth, Satan immediately, subtly, deftly engaged us in battle. But there is this, victory in the name of Jesus! 2nd Corinthians reminds us, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds. Paul and I agree: like the walls of Jericho, these strongholds of sin and Satan cannot and will not stand against the authority you can possess in Jesus Christ.
