I am a memoir writer publishing under a pen name, and I wanted to share a bit about a project that has been years in the making. I am the author of the Rising from the Ashes memoir trilogy, a deeply personal exploration of trauma, resilience, and emotional rebirth. This page shares the experiences and inspiration that shaped my work. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Law. I spent a decade working in law enforcement related fields and as a senior paralegal before traumatic brain injury-related challenges forced me to step away from the career I had built. Seeking solitude and a different kind of clarity, I turned to trucking, where the quiet miles gave me the space to confront the past I had spent years avoiding.My book grew out of a long stretch of silence, moments I did not know how to name at the time, and only later understood as the turning points of my life. It is a story about betrayal, isolation, and the slow, uneven work of finding your way back to yourself. I wrote it for anyone who has lived through something they could not explain or carried a truth they were not sure anyone would believe.If you are drawn to memoirs that explore emotional complexity, family dynamics, and the quiet aftermath of trauma, this might resonate with you.
