Author Information

Dr. Tony Holohan is a medical physician known for his work as Chief Medical Officer for Ireland's Department of Health from 2008 to 2022. After graduating from the University of College Dublin with a Master in Public Health, his success in the medical field led to him becoming Deputy Chief Medical Officer in 2002 before becoming Ireland's CMO and overseeing health crises such as the swine flu and COVID-19. Since stepping down, he currently spends his time in Dublin with his two kids and serves as an adjunct professor at UCD, as well as a Non-Executive Board Member of the Irish Hospice Foundation.
