He talks to me, he nudges me, he reminds me, he scolds me, he paints pictures in my mind's eye, and he stirs my heart. Born in Indiana, Carol Thornburg Grimes moved to Florida during her teen years. Soon after graduation in 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, and they began their life of 70 years together. When a story-writing hobby evolved to writing a book, she decided to enroll in a creative writing course at a local college and continued on to obtain her teaching degree.Carol counseled high school students for 30 years, taught both children and adults in Sunday school for more than 25 years, and provided inspirational and educational programs for various church and community organizations. She hosted the women's mission circle for more than a decade and authored a monthly column in her church newsletter (the Diligent) from 2009 until 2014.She accumulated countless scribbles of wit and notes of wisdom on scraps of paper, napkins, old envelopes, in the margins of books, and in journals. With urging from her family and friends, she has combined her inspirational writings into this collection.
