Originally from Cornwall, she lived in Aberystwyth in mid-Wales for many years and is now based in Cardiff. She teaches for a number of universities and has been a Royal Literary Fund Fellow. She has published two previous works of poetry with Seren: Playing House (2014), and a poetry pamphlet, All that Was Wood, (2018), writes The Cornish Mysteries crime series for Allison & Busby, and also writes political fantasy as DK Fields for Head of Zeus.
