OverviewWE ARE DIFFERENT YET SO THE SAME is a Triplet Series. It is a 3-part semi-fictional children's book based on the life experience of triplets JACK, GRAYCE and JAMES IKENCHUKWU. The purpose of the book is to promote equality, diversity and inclusion in our society especially among children. At the core of the book is the message of LOVE and KINDNESS. To teach our children that there is unity in diversity. Our children are to learn to treat everyone with respect and to accept everyone for who they really are, irrespective of their disability, conditions, race or culture. Series one, Our Disability, Our Strength, opens with Grayce's diary in which she tells us about herself and some of her friends with various conditions. With a squint from birth and delayed speech in her early years, Grayce has grown to see the beauty in what once set her apart. The book focuses on various conditions that make some people appear different but teaches that how we look doesn't tell the whole story - the real us lives inside. Where do children learn life's most powerful lessons? At HOME and SCHOOL. Follow the journey of three siblings as they grow in love, respect and kindness, carrying those lessons into a diverse classroom where inclusion and friendship blossom. I hope this book helps children and adults see how beautiful our differences are, and how together, they create a rainbow in our lives. The Triplet Series teaches that: Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is accepting everyone just the way they are. So, let us love one another today and always. LOVE, Inclusion and diversity, the key to a happy and successful life!
