Some linger behind in salty foam to drown or perish in the scorching sun. Others search their whole lives for that elusive ""creature"" we call love. My heartstrings and experiences would splinter me as I could relate to many splendid yet sorrowful poems. ""As they sit their peel softens and yellows, almost gold. Their gift turns from a chewy hard meal to surrender into softer flesh."" It shows us that passion and friendship is a gift that merges over the years. This poem made me cry as I felt the pressure building behind my eyes; I thought of my love. His book, My Sonnets and More explores various themes of love relationships with less politics. He focuses on relationships between gender, generations, and lovers. The Thursday Poets' Anthology-Dreams & Realities, included several of his poems edited with the regular Thursday poetry critique group."
