This brand new collection of fifty short poems is truly a remarkable work of art. Each poem contains a different aspect of love, from falling in love to the fragmented, broken and then put together. Each poem contains something special, beautifully presented and preserved. If you look close enough you will catch a glimpse of his unique technique, as he draws inspiration from poems from the past and present. My favorites include; 'A Lover A Hero'; 'Beauty I' and 'Beauty II' 'Again', 'A Pillow', 'One More Day', 'For Eternity', 'Cautious Love', 'Legs and Rain' and 'Two Hands'.When William Waldorf writes about love he touches the soul of the reader, takes them to a special place, beyond words, a place filled with subtle memories and happier times. This is a 'must-have' collection for lovers of poetry everywhere.Sarfraz Ahmed, Poet (UK), November 2023Love is an emotion that carries us like the sea. Some linger behind in salty foam to drown or perish in the scorching sun. Others search their whole lives for that elusive ""creature"" we call love. Bill (William Waldorf) writes about love, life, loss, and silence in his elegant book of poems. You tread along his path to follow his words chosen so stunningly. My heartstrings and experiences would splinter me as I could relate to many splendid yet sorrowful poems. After all, poets talk about their reverence of love, but in real life, the hardships are pieces of life that he addresses effectively. Starting with ""Draw of Love,"" Bill addresses the potential for fear, caution, and the sheer strength that love holds over us. We relinquish ourselves to this exercise, love, for its ""Draw"" is too hard to resist. We begin to forget we are reading someone else's thoughts, which soon become ours. ""One Was Blushing"" is a poem I immediately relate to as I recite his words. His ability to merge nature and love is tender. I found many poems that peal the layers of love, from intense oneness to the realities of everyday life. In ""Bananas/Lovers"" is one such piece. ""As they sit their peel softens and yellows, almost gold. Their gift turns from a chewy hard meal to surrender into softer flesh."" Poem after poem leaves my thoughts of my life and how Bill's words correspond with my emotions. ""A Rose"" a poem so alive that it is painful to read, yet to ignore pain would be a disservice to the reader. We read the pieces that remind us of something raw inside of us. ""One"" is a poem that will bring tears to eyes, ones that burn. ""who aches for disappeared music to join, to hear his lost critic. This all changed since you're gone. There are no echoes in my life. Quiet is like a dull kitchen knife that won't cut clean when drawn."" ""Two Hands"" takes us to memories of our youth together. It shows us that passion and friendship is a gift that merges over the years. This poem made me cry as I felt the pressure building behind my eyes; I thought of my love. Another taste of the gentleness, passion, pain, and realism of this collection is ""One More Day,"" ""One day more as we move a lot slower through the day our touch continues to say: Your love fills me with exhilaration One last day no more we'll share, but prepare, love's rest for those who time forged as a pair."" Ways of Love - A Poetry Collection is a book for your collection. A path that we read with zest as the author surprises us, reminds us, and shares how skin will peel, but love is an extraordinary gift that is worthy.Joni Caggiano, Poet" Author Information"William ""Bill"" Waldorf began his love affair with poetry with strict forms like sonnets. Currently he is focused on poems from daily life. He loves to show history has not changed us. His book, My Sonnets and More explores various themes of love relationships with less politics.
