Author Information

Mary lives in Seattle, Washington (USA) with her husband and three children. She has traveled to Iona many times, both on personal pilgrimage and as a retreat leader for vocational discernment retreats for university students. Her personal studies of Celtic Christianity have led her to pursue graduate studies in theology with an urban ecological focus. She has the hopeful vision of sharing with urban communities about our inherent need for Creation and how to live forward in such a way that honors Other and the Future. Currently her field practice is that of a Forest Steward for one of Seattle's south end urban forests; she is co-chairing the restoration process of these woods to provide urban youth and families with a safe and welcoming forest in which to recreate.
