Overview

The true story of a Police Detective and a recently released prisoner trying to reconcile their past lives as they journey through marriage and parenthood. The family falls into desperation as the past catches up with them and they find themselves battling organised criminals and a police force determined to strip them of their liberty. Told from the woman's perspective, this novel gives a rare glimpse into the world of the wives and mothers who choose to love a criminal. To protect identities, names and some circumstances have been 'fictionalised'.

Author Information

Rebecca Stone's inspiration comes from sensitive and sometimes dangerous true stories. Drawing upon her own experiences and some of the interesting and inspiring people she's had the privelige to get to know along the way. She writes without judgement as she scratches beneath the surface of seemingly violent and damaged people. Rebecca's day jobs have included wife, mother, police Detective and Business Woman; but Creative Writing was recognised as her true strength from early childhood. Finding her voice on the page, Rebecca wrote prolifically until - as she states - 'life got in the way'.
