Dr. Izharul Haq is an Assistant Professor at Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology in Jaipur, India, where he specializes in environmental biotechnology, with a focus on waste management using microbial processes and evaluating the toxicity of pollutants. He completed his PhD in Microbiology at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow, India, and later conducted postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Dr. Haq has authored 65 publications, holds an h-index  of 20, and has over 1,900 citations, reflecting his impactful contributions to the field of environmental microbiology and pollutant remediation. Dr. Ankit Pratim Goswami is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Civil and Resource Engineering at Dalhousie University and earned his PhD from  IIT Guwahati. Focusing on environmental science and engineering, his research addresses water quality and sediment contamination, with notable contributions like developing the Irrigation Water Quality Index (IWQI) using information entropy to enhance evaluation accuracy. His detailed work on rivers, has advanced understanding of water quality variations and informed water management policies. With over 130 citations, his work significantly contributes to environmental science. Dr. Ajay S. Kalamdhad, a Professor in Civil Engineering at IIT Guwahati, is renowned for his contributions to environmental engineering, particularly in sustainable solid waste management. His research spans mechanical composting, vermicomposting, anaerobic digestion, solid waste analysis, composting microbiology, biosorption, and water and wastewater treatment. Dr. Kalamdhad’s work has significantly advanced sustainable  waste management techniques, influencing academia, policy, and corporate practices.
