Overview

War and Peacetime is the third in Amanda Spottiswoode's time travelling series. When Kate is thrown backwards from 1977 to 1913, she finds herself in a world where the lack of a simple antibiotic can result in a life threatening illness. A nurse in modern times, she 'retrains' and finds herself in the war zone of First World War France. Barely surviving, she returns to Canada resigned to living her life in a bye-gone era, before a fateful incident changes her life once again. Set in the Interior of British Columbia and war torn Europe, Amanda once again explores the strange and impossible concept of living in an era not one's own, while having a 100% knowledge of the future.
