Warden Tenn is the most infuriatingly cocky adversary I ever could have imagined. He's a brash, swaggering male who seems to delight in bending rules... And breaking down my walls. He offers to take me into the neighbouring province to meet the other unmarried men. It's an attempt to persuade me to allow the bride program to continue. I don't trust him one bit as our rustic road trip gets underway. Especially since his eyes grow white and hungry when he looks at me. Especially since his voice softens to warm smoke when he speaks to me. And especially since he only brought one tent.
