Author Information

Michelle Nussbaumer's design career began in Rome, where Valentino and Zeffirelli were her neighbors—expats fell in love with the villa she had decorated and sought her out as a guide to Italian treasures. Moving to LA, Nussbaumer opened her design business and chic antique shop of La Brea. A decade later she returned to Dallas and opened Ceylon et Cie, where she continues to thrive. She was honored by Elle Décor as one of the top five women in design as well as counting her designs among Veranda's 2013 Top 25. Her work has been featured in House Beautiful, Arch Digest, Marie Claire, House & Garden, and The New York Times.
