Overview

For Larry Weber, the pandemic time turned into almost three years without going much beyond the boundaries of his home in Carlton County, Minnesota. However, with plenty of walking and and a keen eye observing what was happening in his own backyard, Larry was able to continue writing his weekly nature columns for the Duluth News Tribune. Author Information

Larry Weber was a science teacher for 40 years; mostly middle school. His classroom was often outdoors. He received the Minnesota Secondary Science Teacher of the Year Award and the National Biology Teacher Association's Middle School Science Teacher of the Year Award. In 2020, he received the Minnesota Association for Environmental Education Lifetime Achievement Award. For more than 20 years, he has had two nature radio programs and has written a weekly column for the Duluth News Tribune.
