This is the first Disney Masters volume for artist Daniel Branca, and I would absolutely welcome more volumes as his art reminded me of classic Carl Barks.-- ""DuckTalks""" Author InformationDaniel Branca (1951-2005), born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, worked as an animator and a humor-comics cartoonist before starting work with famous Disney comics production house Egmont. Best known for tales pitting Scrooge McDuck against the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell, Branca was among the most popular Duckburg artists of the 1980s and 1990s. In addition to writing Disney comics for 25 years, John Lustig (1953-), born in Seattle, Washington, has written outrageously silly comics for Marvel, Viz, and more. Lustig is best known for his Last Kiss comics, which feature vintage romance art with witty new dialogue. A leading authority on Carl Barks, Geoffrey Blum spent 15 years as associate editor at Another Rainbow Publishing, helping write and compile the original Carl Barks Library, the famous collection of comics, history, commentary, and interviews. Blum also penned deft, highly literate English dialogue for foreign Disney comic book stories, as well as scripting original stories himself. Kari Korhonen has been drawing Disney comics for the Danish publisher Story House Egmont since 1993, where he is best known for his work on Donald Duck stories and Winnie the Pooh. Korhonen is also known as a commercial illustrator for magazines and children's books. In 2011 Korhonen wrote and drew the first Angry Birds comic. David Gerstein is an animation and comics researcher, writer, and editor best known for his work with The Walt Disney Company and its licensees. His published projects include Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck: The Don Rosa Library (Fantagraphics, 2014-2018) and Mickey Mouse: The Ultimate History (with J.B. Kaufman; Taschen, 2018). He lives in North Carolina. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
