OverviewThe year: 1965! When Goofy gulps a peanut from his ""super goober"" garden, there's a super puff of smoke--and our hapless hero gets the powers of super X-ray vision, super speed, and super strength! With his ear-splitting cry of ""Tuh-duh!"" Super Goof battles bad guys across the globe--including sinister Dr. Syclocks, the Tower of Pisa-stealing Super Thief, a freeze-dried Dr. Tempo, and the Beagle Boys, all out to kidnap and resell an entire zoo (super-scoop: it's harder than it looks!). Silver Age fan-favorite artist Paul Murry brings us his full run of adventures from Super Goof plus select later issues, some never reprinted. Follow Mickey Mouse on his pal's heroic trail--and never, ever, underestimate the power of a Goof! Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationPaul Murry (1911-1989) was a Disney comic book artist who most notably worked on the Mickey Mouse serials of the 1950s, '60s, and '70s for Dell Publishing and Gold Key Comics. Previously, he worked as an assistant at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he contributed to projects such as Pinocchio and Dumbo, among others. He also made a name for himself as a gag cartoonist and illustrated a number of Woody Woodpecker comic books. Bob Ogle (1926-1984) was an animator, voice actor and comics writer. Starting his cartoon career at Disney in 1950, he moved on to UPA, MGM, Terrytoons, and Hanna-Barbera, working on such classic characters as Tom and Jerry and Popeye while scripting several of the first Super Goof comics for Disney licensee Western Publishing. Vic Lockman (1927-2017) was one of the world's most prolific humor comics creators, scripting and drawing thousands of stories for Western Publishing and for the Disney Studio directly. Apart from countless Uncle Scrooge, Super Goof, Chip 'n Dale and Winnie-the-Pooh adventures, Lockman put his mark on many non-Disney favorites, including Woody Woodpecker, Bugs Bunny, and Lockman's own Wacky Adventures of Cracky.
