Reviews

There are many paths to Walker Percy. He is known to some as a great satirist, whose 'Lost in the Cosmos' was truly their last and best 'self-help book' in navigating an alien culture. Others discovered his novels - uncommon spiritual testaments - as wondrous revelations of their own condition. Still others found Percy to be a welcome philosophical essayist, unmasking the pretenses of post-modern academia. Here is a book where all the paths converge, truly a labor of love which integrates Percy's philosophical, theological, and artistic vision. Robert Lauder has fashioned a gift not only to those who already love the writings of Walker Percy, but also to those who have only heard of him and want to be introduced to a wonderful mind. (Rev. John F. Kavanaugh S.J., Saint Louis University, MO)
