Olga Mullings was born in Jamaica, West Indies. She's been married to Wenton Fyne, a minister of the gospel for the Church of the Nazarene, for 47 years. Olga has three adult children and holds a master's degree (plus 30 credits more) from Brooklyn College. She studied at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, which led to permanent school district administration (state) certification. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Caribbean University and Empire State College and a Doctor of Divinity degree from Northwestern Theological Seminary. Olga is a national teacher-trainer in classroom management and differentiated instruction, a literacy leader with certification from the CUNY School of Professional Studies, and a mental health counselor with certification from Light University. She taught in NYC public schools for 25 years and wrote 20 adult and children's books, in addition to several poems and quotes. She became an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene after studying at Nazarene Bible College and the Palmer Institute NY. Olga teaches and preaches nationally and internationally and is a dynamic expositor of the Word. Olga is also a dynamic speaker and conference and workshop facilitator. She's also an NYC public school vendor who is MWBE certified. Despite her busy schedule, Olga still finds time to conduct frequent author visits to schools, both public and private, and engage students in reading activities (Fynemations) using rhyming songs, her original rhyming poems, and gems, and ends each session with Read Aloud. These activities play a vital role in sharpening listening skills, heightening interest in reading, and improving phonemic awareness significantly.
