Author Information

Matt Chandler is a newspaper editor and freelance journalist from New York. Matt grew up in a family of hunters and developed his love of the outdoors early in life as a Boy Scout. Matt has been writing professionally since 1996. The New York Press Association named him an award-winning writer in 2007 and 2010. Shane Frederick has been writing about sports since he worked for his high school newspaper in Wisconsin. He currently covers college hockey and other sports for The Free Press newspaper in Mankato, Minnesota, and has won awards for his stories from the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. He is also the author of several sports books, including The Best of Everything Football Book and The Ultimate Guide to Pro Football Teams. A graduate of the University of St. Thomas, Shane lives in Mankato with his wife, Sara, their three children, Ben, Jack, and Lucy, and their dog, Molly. Megan Cooley Peterson has been an avid reader and writer since she was a little girl. She has written nonfiction children's books about topics ranging from urban legends to gross animal facts. Megan is also working on her first novel. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and daughter.
